Museum of Korean Embroidery Seoul

The Korean Museum of Embroidery is a very interesting museum. If you have time and are in the Gangnam area you should drop by the Embroidery Museum of Korea. Admission to the museum is free and there are hundreds of different embroideries on display. The museum was founded in 1976 and their aim is to display Korean Embroidery from the Joseon Dynasty and to promote Korean embroidery through lessons, books and international events. The museum has many different styles and themes of embroideries. They have religious themes, themes of happiness and sadness and many more. The embroidery designs are displayed on everything such as ornaments, boxes, clothes and more.

The museum is open from 10:00 am – 16:00 pm Monday to Friday.

Closed on Weekends and national holidays.

How to get to the Museum of Korean Embroidery in Seoul:

Take line 7 to Hakdong station and leave exit 10. Take the first left and then the second right and the museum is the second building on the left.
